The Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel (PADC) is pleased to offer a CLE webinar on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 12:30 p.m.–1:30 p.m. entitled “Decoding the PA Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act: Sovereign Immunity for Municipal Agencies” presented by Kenneth S. Butensky, Esquire, Of Counsel, City of Philadelphia Law Dept. – Tort Litigation Unit; Clinical Adjunct Professor of Law, Temple University Beasley School of Law.
Program Description: This CLE program will provide insight on sovereign immunity and liability exposure that municipal agencies in Pennsylvania have for negligence actions, including premises liability and motor vehicle claims. Illustrations from prior cases will be used to highlight when municipal or “local” agencies may be liable. The Tort Claims Act’s limitations on damages for local agencies will also be explored.
CLE Credit: 1.0 substantive credit is offered.
